How do disability schemes work?
If employees are ill, for example, due to personal injury, they are normally entitled to full wages for two years under the Sickness Benefits Act. The absenteeism arrangement in the applicable collective labor agreement also plays a role in this. After this period, a disability benefit can be applied for. In cases of serious permanent limitations, an early disability benefit can be applied for.
And what if there is a need for facilities?
In connection with your personal injury, you may need provisions. Consider, for example, domestic help, a transport facility, or an adjustment to your home. There are also social security arrangements for this. For example, can a claim be made under a WMO provision, the Health Insurance Act or the Long-term Care Act? These questions will need to be answered in a timely manner so that you can count on the best care.
